Kira Peikoff is the Editor-in-Chief of leapsmag.com, a digital magazine about innovation and ethics in the life sciences. Her feature articles have previously appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, Popular Mechanics, Nautilus, Slate, and other media outlets. 

Peikoff is also the author of four thrillers: LIVING PROOF (2012); NO TIME TO DIE (2014); DIE AGAIN TOMORROW (2015); and the forthcoming MOTHER KNOWS BEST (August 2019). Her novels explore the human drama that erupts when cutting-edge science meets high-stakes ethical controversies.  

Peikoff holds a B.A. in Journalism from New York University and an M.S. in Bioethics from Columbia University. She is a proud member of The Authors Guild and PEN America. A native Californian, she now lives in New Jersey with her husband and son.
